Networks play a crucial role in enabling machine-to-machine (M2M) communication for industrial and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. These networks provide the infrastructure through which connected devices can communicate with each other, share data, and collaborate on tasks without human intervention. Different types of networks, such as wireless (like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, LoRa, Zigbee) and wired (like Ethernet), facilitate M2M communication by providing connectivity, reliability, security, and scalability for devices to exchange information in real-time. Additionally, networks enable remote monitoring, control, and automation of industrial processes, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and decision-making in various sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, smart cities, transportation, and energy management.
