Ransomware can indeed infect already encrypted files. While encryption can protect data from unauthorized access, once ransomware infiltrates a system, it can still encrypt files that are already encrypted, essentially adding another layer of encryption that the attacker controls. This can make the files inaccessible to the rightful owner until the ransom is paid or other recovery measures are taken.
