Can system restore points help recover from ransomware attacks, or are they typically encrypted as well?
If I get infected by a ransomware, can I restore my computer from the restore points or will they be encrypted too?

System restore points can be useful in recovering from certain types of ransomware attacks. However, it depends on the specific ransomware variant and how it operates. In some cases, ransomware may encrypt or delete system restore points to prevent users from easily recovering their files. Therefore, while restoring your system to a previous restore point can sometimes help mitigate the impact of a ransomware attack, it is not a foolproof solution. It’s always best to have additional layers of security such as regular data backups to protect against ransomware attacks.
