Can system restore points help recover from ransomware attacks, or are they typically encrypted as well?
If I get infected by a ransomware, can I restore my computer from the restore points or will they be encrypted too?

System restore points are typically not effective in recovering from ransomware attacks. Ransomware often targets system files, including restore points, making them inaccessible or corrupted. It is recommended to regularly back up important data to external storage or a cloud service that is not connected to the infected system to ensure a viable recovery option in case of a ransomware attack.
