Did Microsoft benefit in any way from the WannaCry ransomware attack?
Microsoft did not directly benefit from the WannaCry ransomware attack. In fact, the attack exploited a vulnerability in Microsoft’s operating system, which prompted Microsoft to release patches and updates to address the security flaw.
