DLP (Data Loss Prevention) integrates with email systems by using scanning mechanisms to inspect outgoing emails for sensitive data. It can identify specific patterns, keywords, or file types that indicate sensitive information and then prevent or alert the user when an email containing such data is being sent to unauthorized recipients.
